Today this page features a photograph of myself taken by Natalie yesterday near Wittman, Arizona. I thought it would be nice to show a photograph of myself wearing something different from the field clothing most of you see me wearing during workshops. In Arizona, winter is the time of year when we can wear more fancy clothing. It's just too warm to do so during the rest of the year. This December the temperature in the Phoenix, Arizona area ranges from 39F at night to 85F or so during the day. This is perfect for wearing sweater, scarf, driving gloves and a 'Newsboy Cap ! I will have more photographs of Natalie and I in 'non-field clothing' over the coming weeks.

This photograph is a collage of 3 captures. It was created during the 2013 Fine Art Summit Vision Field Workshop. I saw this image in my mind and it worked out perfectly putting it together in my studio. I was exhausted that evening but I had to take one more photograph. I Could not pass it up!

We returned from Page, Arizona, a couple days ago, after teaching the 2013 Fine Art Summit and field workshops. The Antelope Canyon Fine Art Summit, and the Vision Field Workshops after the Summit, are NOT affected by the National Park closure because the entire event takes place on Navajoland.

We returned from teaching the Fall 2013 Eastern Sierra Workshop a couple days ago after a stop in Las Vegas for R&R. This was a fantastic workshop and Natalie and I say 'thank you' to all of you who joined us for this photographic adventure and made it a success. We had great light, enjoyable weather and we were there at the peak of the fall colors. The National Park closures did not affect us at all because all the areas on our itinerary were open.
