Marketing Mastery DVD Update: Interview with Gordon Lewis
This interview was originally intended to be an announcement to my 3rd book Marketing Fine Art Photography. However, I revealed so many marketing 'secrets' during the interview that I decided to provide it as an update to the Marketing DVD rather than as an announcement for the book.
This interview is 1hr and 40 minutes long. Way too long for a book announcement! I am providing it to Marketing DVD owners in its entirely. I know you are going to learn a lot from it, because most of what I say in the interview are things I have not talked about before in my other materials, either on the DVD or in the book. That's what makes this interview so unique and interesting. It's a real learning opportunity.

Death Valley Workshop
We just returned from the Spring 2011 Death Valley Workshop which was fantastic. Natalie and I extend a big 'thank you' to all the workshop participants who made this event a success.
If you were unable to join us, we will return to Death Valley this November for the Beaux Arts Photography Summit.
Print of the Month Price increase
The previous Prints of the Month price increased by $200 today. The current Print of the Month price did not increase. I expect further Print of the Month price increases this year. This means that the best time to buy is right now.
The pricing difference between past and current Prints of the Month is now $300 instead of $100 before this price increase.

January 21st - Book available in iPad version
My second book, Mastering Photographic Composition, Creativity and Personal Style, is now available as an ebook for the iPad and iPhone. Just log on to Apple's iBookstore with your iPhone or iPad, do a search for Briot and you'll see it. A free sample is available so you can see it before you buy it.
If you have a different reading device, the book is also available for Kindle from Amazon.com with free apps to port it to most devices (Blackberry, Android, Mac, etc.)

A new essay titled Achievements is available in the Essays Section of this site. It focuses on the importance of measuring and celebrating what you accomplished last year in regards to your photography.

We just returned from our Eastern Sierra Workshop. We had active weather during this workshop which offered unique photographic opportunities, and the fall colors were beautiful. I will have photographs here shortly.
