After unpacking your photograph, "Canyons of the San Juan 1," I was blown away by the colors, highlight, shadow detail, and the overall dynamic range of the image. The Photograph
The 40th Alain Briot Print of the Month photograph is titled Canyons of the San Juan - 1.
Just like with nearly all my other fine art images, numerous adjustments had to be made to this image to make it match my original vision. My vision was for the canyon wall to glow in warm light, while the tree maintained a vivid green color. I saw this image, in part, as a contrast between opposing colors. It took a lot of work and knowledge to achieve that. For this reason, and to help you study and learn how you can do this yourself, I am including the master file for this image at no extra cost. This is the fourth photograph for which I am including the Master File, the two others being the April, May and June 2006 Prints of the Month. If you like being able to study my master files to see exactly how I did what I did, consider gettting all four Prints of the Month with Master Files. You will not get a better way to study out how an image is optimized.
