The Photograph
The 38th Alain Briot Print of the Month photograph is titled Upper Antelope Canyon. Just like the April 2006 Print of the Month, it comes with the Master File. I used a unique approach to optimize this image and get the image quality I wanted, one I have never used before in my previous images of Antelope Canyon.

If you photographed Antelope Canyon yourself, either during one of our workshops or on your own, you know how difficult it can be to resolve the contrast issues posed by Antelope. I found the solution, and you can use this solution in your own work, easily, by simply following the approach I present in the Master File. To me, this is nothing short of groundbreaking. Below is the before and after version of this image. Nothing short of night and day. This is the first time I was able to create a print of this specific scene that expresses what I saw and felt at the time I took the photograph. Previously, I simply could not achieve what I wanted.


This image is printed with my Epson 4800 running under Image Print, on Crane Museo Silver Rag paper. The print quality is stunning. This is the same print quality as our other prints of the months, in particular the previous one, Zabriskie Point.
